This project aims to use nitrogen (N) management strategies to 1) achieve reductions in nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions and in groundwater nitrate, 2) increase tools available to farmers to more efficiently apply nitrogen to a variety of crops, resulting in economic savings, and 3) generate data on N2O emissions to develop of carbon (greenhouse gas) credits in the Willamette Valley.
